The Kennion Group (TKG) exists to help companies align people with financial and management strategies to meet business objectives. TKG was founded in 1969 by Hal Shepherd, who started his career as a life insurance agent for a large mutual life company. In the 1970's, Mr. Shepherd started a Taft-Hartley Benefit Trust that later became a plan administrator for many of the coal companies located in Alabama. Over the years he has established a variety of regulated and licensed service and insurance companies that provide Employee Benefit products and services to a growing list of organizations.

TKG has found solutions to two of the biggest problems facing employers and their employees. throughout the US and overseas.First and foremost our solution for high cost associated with health plans and retirement plan administration is to reduce and where possible eliminate the fees, sales charges, commissions, trailing fees and other such costs that do not benefit the employer or employee. We will provide you with full transparency in all costs. We do this by pooling our knowledge with our client’s money to purchase services at the lowest possible level. TKG has as its clients insurance carriers where TKG is not an agent/broker, but an administrator for ALL the insurance company’s operations.

TKG focuses on Health and Welfare Benefits, specifically Health Plans and Retirement Plans. TKG uses proprietary process solutions developed over the years, has a wealth if intellectual capital in its highly trained staff, and state of the art computer systems.
